Why? becasue western economies are massive over consumers of crude oil, which is getting more expensive due to geology and market pressure.

If you think about how critical oil is, and the fossil fuels it helps us get, to our daily lifestyle we are used to, and you then realise that prior to the industrial age, if a bubble burst, then that just means you dont grow crops for sale, everything else just ticks over. If the stockmarket falls through the floor tomorrow, what do millions of bankrupt urbanites do for food, water and heating?

Its the way the world works, rise then fall. I say, make sure you have a parachute, then the landing is a lot easier.Kalkihttps://www.blogger.com/profile/10556589379141734253noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-53246864840716464.post-253868944992063962008-12-09T13:15:00.000-08:002008-12-09T13:15:00.000-08:00"Dark AgesEuropean historythe early medieval perio..."Dark Ages
European history

the early medieval period of western European history. Specifically, the term refers to the time (476–800) when there was no Roman (or Holy Roman) emperor in the West; or, more generally, to the period between about 500 and 1000, which was marked by frequent warfare and a virtual disappearance of urban life. It is now rarely used by historians because of the value judgment it implies. Though sometimes taken to derive its meaning from the fact that little was then known about the period, the term’s more usual and pejorative sense is of a period of intellectual darkness and barbarity.
