So, here's a video, that shows it;

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bLgpmAELiko

And, "There's MORE, where this came from"!Carlos Willinaishttps://www.blogger.com/profile/03044998238875548712noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-53246864840716464.post-49298137334436989292010-09-01T08:38:18.510-07:002010-09-01T08:38:18.510-07:00I must admit, I didn't at first believe there ...I must admit, I didn't at first believe there really could be this sort of problem in the Gulf. I just couldn't swallow the idea that a billion dollars was such a small amount of money, that a company could pour that amount of investment into a hole like was being described in the Gulf of Mexico.

We live in the proverbial -interesting times, and it is the curse the proverb described.

I think the deficit of my anticipatory-understanding revolves around the fact, -that I'm too nice a guy.

I could never do what was done in the Gulf, -not even if it had a 99% chance of turning out "-all systems on go," as was hoped-for -by the eager and positive-leaning NASA command center broadcaster announcing the blast-off of the Space Shuttle Challenger seconds before it blew-up on January 28, 1986.

We haven't had a moment like that in the Gulf -yet-, a moment where everyone is caught-up in the positive atmosphere of the occasion as it has proceeded unerringly through this infinitely complex reality we all share, a moment when the utterly astonishing reality -of just how badly things had turned out -is undeniably before our eyes.

It dawned on me the other day, something I had never considered before. It was my own Schopenhauerian moment blinding me permanently from seeing much positive about humanity's current condition, it's predicament in all things -future-.

We have built our society pointing all our efforts toward cultivating and accelerating change, -when it is now increasingly obvious to this horrified philosopher -the change going on all around us is what we should all fear and abhor -most-.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.com
