Senator Warns of Revolution

Senators don't normally use the word "Revolution".

As a central part of the government, Senators do not normally wish to stir up any images of major challenges to power or of guillotines.

So it is dramatic that Senator Dodd mentioned the "R" word with a New York Times reporter:

I caught up with Senator Dodd, and asked him what he was going to do if the loan situation didn’t improve. “All I can tell you is that we are going to have the bankers up here, probably in another couple of weeks and we are going to have a very blunt conversation,” he replied.

He continued: “If it turns out that they are hoarding, you’ll have a revolution on your hands. People will be so livid and furious that their tax money is going to line their pockets instead of doing the right thing. There will be hell to pay.”
That statement is especially interesting because the banks have admitted that they will continue hoarding cash for quite a while.

  1. Oh yeah, there'll be a revolution alright. The revolution is begun already. Enough corruption, wars of naked aggression, rendition, detention, and torture. Enough lining the pockets of Wall Street vermin and, give us back our damn nation. Live by the United States Constitution or die by the Constitution. Either way, the time is NOW!

  2. You may be indirectly and unknowingly referring to the disputed C & R document that Dodd (among others) has supposedly seen? Inevitable Conflict or Revolution on order for the future of the US, take your pick?

I hate to say this, but by the time the last of our remaining wealth has been shipped overseas, and the ailing infrastructure systems show signs of permanent, irreparable damage, the responsible parties will be long gone.

The coming 'leadership' of this country will continue to string the masses along with promises of 'temporary' socialistic taxes, 'temporary' economic reforms, and 'temporary' commodity rationing or shortages to fix and resurrect our once great country. The leadership will blame the system, blame other countries meddling, and blame lack of knowledge or foresight for our coming hardships. The American people will blindly march off the cliff while gobbling up this patriotic tripe

There will be no revolution. The people are far too pacified, complacent and conditioned. Sadly, America has become such a blame society in which it is normal to blame the mechanics and the machinery/system of the problem rather than facing our leadership’s manipulation of their populace or their toying of the levers. Blame the fire for burning down the building, not the person who lit it! Insane, but true.

Look to the banking ‘crisis’. Blame the greedy sub prime borrowers. Blame the lack of oversight by a non-functioning SEC; blame human nature of greed, blame society, BLAME THE SYSTEM, but don’t single out anyone specifically….it is a national problem we are told, even a global problem. There is no justice, there are no arrests, no meaningful fraud investigations, there is not even an expectation of ramifications for the guilty. We are lead to believe that what has happened is in the past, and what we need to now focus on is how to ‘fix’ things for the future. We aren’t even allowed to investigate the crime scene, or who committed the crime before we are scurried off to only study the victim.

I don’t see a revolution in our future, other than the continuation of a peaceful dedicated 3% who helplessly plead for the other 97% to wake up. Unfortunately, I don’t see a more rational system being re-energized based on the original intentions of the constitution.

I am more concerned that we are most likely going to be coaxed and manipulated by fear into waging a war, or be subjected to an ‘allowed event’ that will unwittingly justify our economic demise and inevitable declined standard of living.

  3. When you realize that the 3% of Amerikans that actually THINK and of those 3% who try to actually do something about The System are really just Entertainment to the Brainwashed Masses... another channel on the TV Box... then you start to realize that The Masses are really your true enemy.

    Historically and Today.

Discover the TRUTH for yourself. You. And keep it to yourself... and thank those in Power that they allow you this measure of Freedom. The Freedom of Thought. But, remember,
there's a price you pay if you talk about it.

Protect yourself. Let The Masses rot. The system is really to protect The Elite and the few thinkers among us from THEM.

Revolution will occur when and if The Elite choose to have Revolution occur.

  4. Oh, revolve THIS. Why so blunt? It's a money screwup. With lots of contributing parties and factors. Who are you going to revolt against, yourself, for credit card abuse? The people that signed you up for an alt-A mortgage, because that's the only way you'd ever be able to qualify for one? People gotta get REAL, again, in this country. IF you can't afford it, DON'T sign the paperwork. Buy second-hand. Swallow your pride, and go get an apartment. Fix the car and run it. Eat cheaper. Be HONEST. That last one right there's guaranteed to be a system-shocker for a lot of people. Oh, and if you can't afford to lose the money, don't play the market. Nuff said.

  5. As long as the democrats and republicans enforce a monopoly on US politics, as long as those same democrats and republicans accept lobby money and vote according to businees and special interest wishes (NOT OURS), revolution has to be an option.

We are, with this corrupt congress, a government of the (was people) special interests, by the (was people) special interests and for the (was people) special interests. Most apathetic Americans have no idea what's going on. America will be the first empire lost to greed and greed alone.

  6. To a large degree the act of indifference has been the underlying factor in what is fast becoming the death of a nation.
As Elie Wiesel, a Holocaust survivor, once said, " Indifference is not a beginning, it is an end. And, therefore, indifference is always the friend of the enemy"

  7. AUDIT THE FED.
    LETS SEE THE BOOKS.
THAN LETS GO DIRECTLY AFTER THE ONE COMMITTING ALL THE FRAUD.
START A FLAT TAX SYSTEM THAT APPLIES TO CORPORATIONS STATE AND FEDERAL ONLY "NOT THE PEOPLE." THE PEOPLE CAN PAY LOCAL TAXES FOR GOODS AND SERVICES. DO AWAY WITH ALL PROPERTY TAXES AND ALLOW PEOPLE TO OWN THEIR PROPERTY.
