Its Official: Torture Doesn't Work

Those who know have repeatedly said that torture doesn't work. See this and this.

Well, now its official.

The Senate Armed Services Committee unanimously found:
"The administration’s policies concerning [torture] and the resulting controversies damaged our ability to collect accurate intelligence that could save lives, strengthened the hand of our enemies, and compromised our moral authority."
Can we please stop torturing now?

  1. Please my ass! Stop it immediately or go on trial for war crimes. If you read the documents no country who has signed the convention has the right to change anything in the document. Of course law has never meant anything to this administration. They believed that their clones at Justice could just change the law to anything they wanted. Having served 27 years in the military I have been ashamed of this country since the illegal war and especially so when they did the torture dance. I can think of a punishment bad enough for the whole gang with a few democrats thrown in for good luck. Heads of both intelligence committees were briefed by the CIA is 2002 about what tortures they were going to use and on who. If any body in the gang who had knowledge of what was going on should have ratted them out.
