U.S. Votes For 9/11-Style Commission To Probe Financial Crisis

Am I excited that "US lawmakers voted Wednesday to create a 9/11-style commission of experts to probe the causes of last year’s devastating financial meltdown and to draw lessons to prevent its recurrence"?

Of course.

The 9/11 Commission has - in retrospect - expressed confidence in the whole process:

  • The co-chairs also said that the CIA (and likely the White House) "obstructed our investigation"
  • The Senior Counsel to the 9/11 Commission (John Farmer) - who led the 9/11 staff's inquiry - said "At some level of the government, at some point in time...there was an agreement not to tell the truth about what happened". He also said "I was shocked at how different the truth was from the way it was described .... The tapes told a radically different story from what had been told to us and the public for two years.... This is not spin. This is not true."

Constitutional expert Jonathan Turley has also expressed confidence in the process:

[The 9/11 Commission] was a commission that was really made for Washington - a commission composed of political appointees of both parties that ran interference for those parties - a commission that insisted at the beginning it would not impose blame on individuals. So it's the ideal Washington commission - a commission that would investigate without any repercussions.
And the 9/11 Commission did everything possible to ensure that it received open, unbiased evidence from its witnesses, including being nice enough to provide "minders" to watch over the witnesses for their own protection.

Well, it is true (as explored in the book The Commission by respected journalist Philip Shenon), that the Executive Director of the 9/11 Commission was an administration insider whose area of expertise is the creation and maintenance of "public myths" thought to be true, even if not actually true. He wrote an outline of what he wanted the report to say very early in the process, controlled what the Commission did and did not analyze, then limited the scope of the Commission's inquiry so that the overwhelming majority of questions about 9/11 remained unasked (see this article and this article).

And sure, the 9/11 Commission's findings were almost entirely based on testimony extracted by torture from crazy guys.

  1. For those of us who are still waiting for the TRUTH about the JFK Asassination, (over 40 years ago)- no surprise! (Glad I'm not an American!)

  4. I Like it,

But like you said with 9/11 the report is already written.

How can anybody in their right mind expect to survive if they write the facts of this story. The world lost (will lose) about US$ 20 trillion to the gray mass hiding in the shadows.

So far we know only that it was AIG (A speech in Morehouse College) who initiated the final process culminating in the morning of September 15th when the company withdraw in a couple of hours all available cash from all the US money market funds. FED added even some more funds but realized soon that it was too risky for them to continue.

The planners had their naked short selling now sanctioned and could start draining the blood from the US and global markets (naked short selling was banned after 1929 but somehow it became OK again in 2007).

They grays were there not to destroy it all but to gain control over every important industry and company in the World.

The process was simple, sell high and buy low: 1) sell it all with naked puts, and 2) buy all back later directly or through call options to make it a power play (cash was to come later on from the "ignorants", the tax payers to pay the calls). And we the tax payers have poured in cash in countless train loads.

The last leg is still to fall as the tax payer has now taken it all out as interest bearing loans.

Why do we pay interest on something that we issue and print ourselves? The banks create money this way every day. The worst that can happen is some loss in our currency value - in other words a devaluation of the dollar.

With devaluation of currency the exports will boom and imports will stall. This is exactly what we need! We need to rebuild our export industries that were exported earlier in early part of this game.

It all was beautifully planned, timed and executed. First we had the housing boom that sparked the global stock market and commodities boom. The same time hidden in the shadows was the real boom for the selected suckers in form of the derivatives games that nobody could understand beyond that you could make tons of money from almost nothing - and this lasted about 5 years. During this time the flies were bringing in all the cash they could find as it was turning to real gold in this derivatives game - it was beautiful! A game that was topping US$ 700 trillion (with T) in value.

Then came September 15th, and AIG as a trigger for the final act to start. We on the street were consumed by the AIG bonuses and not even noticing the $160 billion that disappeared to totally untraceable fog around the globe.

We then baled out investment houses, banks and some industrial dinosaurs like the car makers to keep our people calm. This was all planned to happen and it worked like a clockwork.

We will never get the answers to these shadow games and the real players, the gray mass, that had only one goal in mind. Control over the World.

Like their elders in 1929 they netted nicely and should be ready now to follow the path of the Sun King of France, Louis XIV: "The one with most money will always win the war..."

Do they dare to act? The descendants of Louis XIV met their maker through a new practical invention for the time period - the guillotine!

  5. I suspect the commission will take the official policy of the Treasury dept that the Banks will suffer shame if the banks finances are publicized. That position as the rights of these parasites will trump the public's right to know the truth.

The crooks in Washington are incorrigible liars. Nothing is beyond these crooks.

  7. Great idea !! Like the 911 Commission, PLEASE make sure that the members of the Commission have conflicting/vested interests.

Might I suggest the following 'list of Characters' for consideration of 'Commissioner' status: Alan Greenspan (nee: Mitchell); Timothy Geithner; Benjamin Bernanke; Henry Paulson; Alan Greenberg; Bill Cinton; G.H.W. Bush; G.W. Bush; Gordon Brown; Anthony Blair; Evelyn de Rothschild; Michael Camdessus; and Jaime Caruana.

These characters were intimately responsible for the 'problem' in the first place, so why not put them 'in charge' of this farce ?

TRANSPARENCY AND TRUTH ARE TOO MUCH TO EXPECT

There are a lot of fingerprints on everything that has happened. THEY ALL DESERVE PROSECUTION.

  8. My question is this, and I wrote to Arlen Specter about it, living in PA as I do:

Why were all these people who embezzled money not arrested? To make sure I was using the right word, I checked dictionary.com for the definition:

    em•BEZ'•l
–verb (used with object), -zled, -zling.
to appropriate fraudulently to one's own use, as money or property entrusted to one's care.

I couldn't think of a better way to describe what they did (than the definition directly above): they created a crisis, and then had the federal government tell the federal reserve to print out BILLIONS more in currency...SO IT COULD BE GIVEN TO THEM.

  10. With the 911 commission that has done a botched job
A democracy with only two parties.
USA is fashioning a new kind of democracy based on lies tortures, war crimes, and supporting contries committing war crimes
When UN condemned Israel for war crimes USA is the only country who decried the judgement.
Welcome to 21st century under US leadership for new democracy.
You are either with us or against us
