The commonly-accepted wisdom of bloggers (such as me) is that we are slowly but surely winning the battle to spread the truth.
After all, the web has now become the most popular source for news.
And the alternative media has sometimes pounded on stories so hard that the corporate news was forced to cover them, and the politicians and business elites were forced to scramble to explain away their actions.
But a comment on my website tonight posted by dogismyth summarized something I've been thinking about for the past week:
This is why there is still unlimited, unfettered access to freedom of speech on the internet. Because the powers that be (PTB) know that people feel better about the situation just openly talking about the issues. The internet to them is not a threat, but it is our crutch. People complain, explain, disdain, sustain and act in pain on the internet about a myriad of problems.I hope he's wrong, and that we are really winning - even if slowly - the infowars.
AND THEY FEEL BETTER. So much better, that they do absolutely nothing else. Well, most do anyway.
But remember that the internet was created by the military (it was originally called Arpanet - "Arpa" standing for "Advanced Research Projects Agency").
And that a former CIA officer says that seed money from the the CIA helped launch Google.
And that the security services - especially the NSA - are tracking everything we do on the net. Indeed, as I've previously written:
A governmental unit operating in secret and with no oversight whatsoever is gathering massive amounts of data on every American and running artificial intelligence software to predict each American's behavior, including "what the target will do, where the target will go, who it will turn to for help"...
The Pentagon is also running an AI program to see how people will react to propaganda and to government-inflicted terror. The program is called Sentient World Simulation:
"U.S defense, intel and homeland security officials are constructing a parallel world, on a computer, which the agencies will use to test propaganda messages and military strategies. So we are using the web to spread the truth.
Called the Sentient World Simulation, the program uses AI routines based upon the psychological theories of Marty Seligman, among others. (Seligman introduced the theory of 'learned helplessness' in the 1960s, after shocking beagles until they cowered, urinating, on the bottom of their cages.)
Yank a country's water supply. Stage a military coup. SWS will tell you what happens next.
The sim will feature an AR avatar for each person in the real world, based upon data collected about us from government records and the internet."
But the powers-that-be may also be using the web to let us blow off eSteam - venting our frustrations in a virtual environment, instead of actually doing something in the real world, like surrounding Congress in a totally peaceful protest and refusing to leave until the economy is extracted from the grip of the oligarchs, or taking other action to challenge those in power.
And they are studying our every moves, to study not only what we're doing, but to be able to predict how best to manipulate us.
Am I saying that we should stay off the web?
No, the web is one of the most powerful tools ever for spreading truth, researching information and organizing. But we also have to take action in the brick-and-mortar world away from the computer.
And we also have to start thinking about the ways that the powers-that-be are not only trying to game social media and censor critical information, but also using the web as an offensive weapon for their own purposes.
As Sun Tzu wrote in the Art of War:
It is said that if you know your enemies and know yourself, you will not be imperiled in a hundred battles; if you do not know your enemies but do know yourself, you will win one and lose one; if you do not know your enemies nor yourself, you will be imperiled in every single battle. We may know ourselves - and the truth we wish to spread. But unless we also know our enemies and their strategies for fighting on the web, we will not win many battles.
"As Sun Tzu wrote in the Art of War:
ReplyDeleteIt is said that if you know your enemies and know yourself, you will not be imperiled in a hundred battles ..."
Preparation, and the stance adopted in preparation for war, -ensures a conflict will ensue.
The problem with the Internet is exactly that, the preparation for an unnecessary war.
The war should not be about politics, nor even should it be about any scientific assault upon reality as is espoused by misguided Internet pundits like Michael Rivero.
It should be about philosophy.
Take a look around. We are all wrong. Our pride is ridiculous. And our minds are like wind-up toys that simply run down in the end.
The ONLY thing that matters is a preservation of life -and the quality of it- for the future.
Our underlying philosophy, almost regardless who we are, is simply -to gamble it all away trying to improve the present, when preservation of a future is the only possible worthy goal.
In this sense, the Internet is nothing more than another feeble step on the path toward the further enslavement and eventual oblivion for the human race.
It is thrilling to travel at the speed of light down the information super-highway. But look behind you, fools. Look at what you are leaving behind in your reckless haste.
You will not be coming back this way again.
Its actually good that people aren't doing anything. What they are realizing by their inactivity is that there is a matrix in place designed to constrain them. This is where the military ops fail though because they are observing and gathering data in this context and then projecting it into a simulated context. What they aren't doing as Sun Tzu commands is doing this on themselves because to do so would force them to release their ego which would spirtually devastate them because it would show them how they have been duped into believing the lie their masters indocrinated them with. They would lose all heart if they did this. They would also come to see that the graves they are toiling to dig for us are ultimately THIER graves because they are us.
ReplyDeleteBack to the matrix. Once people are forced to action, here is what will happen.
1. The matrix will collapse
2. People will discover that they don't need the matrix and they will be energized by this.
3. There will be no constraints at this time and the illuminati will be revealed to their foot soldiers in their true light.. This IS their biggest fear. That their foot soldiers will turn on them.
4. They know they will ultimately fail in their soul.
The forces that are inspiring them know this too. They are only doing it out of spite after all.
5. The universe as we have observed ALWAYS seeks equilibrium. Its a universal immutable law. Evil, left unfettered will ultimately destroy itself.

"Move along, there's nothing to see here."
Insightful commentary; thank you, George. Comprehensive factual understanding is the foundation for action, both for the active and nascent citizen. The battle is whether those with the ability to be educated will do so and act for the public good of billions of human beings, or whether the 10,000 or so at the "eye of the pyramid" will successfully subvert us to their manipulative will as servants. Therefore we MUST act according to our unique, powerful, and beautiful self-expressions if we want a brighter future.
ReplyDeleteI also continue thinking, George, and believe that our "masters" know that they have lost and we have won. I feel it important to look ahead to our endgame victory strategy: what approach will best facilitate their surrender and our most powerful beginning of this new future? It seems most efficient that a truth and reconcilliation process serves best: their surrender and cooperation for the truth in all aspects of their control in exchange for their relative life of ease for the rest of their mortal days and opportunity for a "Scrooge conversion" to join us as advocates of ALL of humanity rather than their vicious club. Indeed, for our "masters" who might receive this message, I would be willing to work with you for this outcome. George, if you feel so compelled, please think with me on how we should plan for victory and write on this topic for all you reach to also consider our endgame.
I think we are all doing such a great job that they feel the internet is the single biggest threat to their plans. The last thing they want is for us to be able to freely communicate the truth, organize and move against them. The masses far outnumber the few evil corrupt people in control. And if we all realized this, they would loose control forever. Instantly as the slaves rise up at once to reject our captors.
ReplyDeleteThe truth will set us free. The Internet and bloggers such as yourself and the many others of us out there are making that freedom possible. The idea that telling the truth to the masses is being allowed as it is calming us down is, in my opinion the exact opposite of what it is doing. The more we know the more we are getting mad, and we are doing more about it every day. You are very right with your comment about knowing our enemies strategies for fighting on the web. One of them is the cybersecurity act. They want to simply make the net like TV. Programmed propaganda. They will try to control the internet, as they want to be able to manipulate and program the public as is done on TV. The cybersecurity act must be stopped.
Keep telling the truth, keep speaking your mind, keep empowering the masses with the truth. Keep up the great work!
Lets all keep spreading the truth.
All the best

The internet was originally called "DARPAnet." I was a programmer at an educational institution back in the day (1988) when we used it to communicate with other employees of educational and military facilities.
ReplyDeleteI read this post yesterday and then I went away and contemplated on it and the scope of it. There were no comments on it has of my first reading. I come back to day and re-read it and I find very wonderful insightful comments, to which I will add this.
ReplyDeleteYou cannot kill an idea whose time has come.
That's what we do here on the net relay ideas with info.
If all a person does is sit in front of a moniter and whine in keystroke verbiage, effectively venting, doing nothing regarding, Being the change one wants to see in the world, then this Internet to them is just a impersonal, phycological,non-human counselor space. But for many others, such has the ones who have posted here ,who write blogs like myself, read, and act outside of the virtual world then we are the idea in motion whose time has come.
If you have not seen Zeitgeist the movie I highly recommend it,to those who have not read Sun Tsu Art Of War ,please do so. To those who know nothing of Quantum Physics- bing.com it, get familiar and if you have not seen "What the Bleep do we Know"?-- see it. If you have not read Our Constitution-Read it. If you do not know about how our government is supposed to work and does not, then the Internet is the place to learn about it.
Knowledge is power,Having wisdom with knowledge in an action is an unstoppable power in motion and expression.
If you know nothing of Gregg Brady U tube search him. If you have not heard of cymatics, Eloptic energy,or Fibonacci sequence, find out what it is.
If you want to know just how we are manipulated in all the ways by the spindoctors see gatecreepers.com .
The largest library in the world is at our keyboard fingertips. But I nor any one else can give any one the want to learn bug.
No one can manipulate anyone who is truly informed or does not want to be manipulated.
We really are winning because you cannot kill an idea whose time has come.
The truth really will set us free.
Thank U George for a truly thought provoking article.
Well said, Faith-R-Michaels, with great links. Yes, we can point to sources and discuss what we're discovering, but it's up to each of us to ignite the passion to learn the truth of what's really happening on our interesting planet.
