Joe Biden said yesterday:
My grandpop used to say ... "When the guy in Minooka's out of work, it's an economic slowdown. When your brother- in-law's out of work, it's a recession. When you're out of work, it's a depression.”
[Asked how he views it, Biden responded:] Well, it's a depression. It's a depression for millions of Americans, through no fault of their own.
Before you decide whether Joe is just shooting his mouth off or he's onto something, read this, this and this.
Well, not exactly. Biden said that "when a guy in Dubuque is out of work it's an economic slowdown. When your brother-in-law is out of work it's a recession. When you're out of work, it's a depression. Well it's a depression for millions of Americans." He wasn't talking about the airy fairy world of economists with their idiotic statistics that tell us the recession is over. He was talking about the reality of people's lives—something Biden knows about, as opposed to Slanthead Hannity, who knows only a partisan opening when he sees one.
ReplyDeleteJoseph, I revised the post to be more clear.
ReplyDeleteGoogle 'declining empires' and you'll be able to get a job as fortune teller until the economy turns around.
ReplyDeleteMany people do not need Joe Biden or anyone else to confirm the obvious.....the rest rely on the mainstream media to think for them.
To think....... Americans only need to lose faith in the central banksters paper money to regain lost power. This is a wealth transfer that will leave millions of clueless yuppies homeless with a strained WTF look on there face.
Google the state owned Bank of North Dakota to educate yourself on alternatives to privately owned central banks that Americans rejected many times in the past. Your economic woes stem from central bank policies.
Well, I'm older than Joseph, and way-more credible than Biden.
ReplyDeleteYou can quote me: It's been a depression since 2000, and it's going to continue being a depression too, -until the stand-off is broken by some fool-move on the war front.
The working man in America has been in the bread line (now called food-stamps) for almost ten years. Go to Detroit. Go to Cincinnati. And go to California, Oregon, Florida and Indiana too. You name it.
Even the ski slope condos in Joseph's Colorado are being foreclosed upon. Oh! How the rich and famous fall, drunk, high on barbituates, heroin or cocaine.
Silicon Valley is just in the early stages of getting that Kafkaesque Flint-Michigan look.
There are once-much+much-nicer houses than anything in Silicon Valley -in Detroit today -with roofs leaking, -and the copper, the lead windows and the brass door hardware stripped out of them, if they haven't already been torn down or torched.
I lived outside Detroit until 1966. This place was once a hundred times richer than Silicon Valley -ever thought of being rich.
No one -not alive then - and there to see it- could possibly imagine -what- Birmingham and Bloomfield Hills Michigan looked like in 1966.
There is nothing like it -or even close- anywhere in the world today.
The whole world is in a depression -only awaiting a world war to alleviate the misery and the suffering -by making it all seem better in comparison to war that debases everything in its path.
Just think how good you'll feel -when the war ends.
Biden is a complete dope; he'll say anything. Analyzing his comments or taking him seriously is like deciphering the movement of birds, throwing chicken bones, or reading tea leaves.
ReplyDeleteHe definitely said it's a depression for millions of Americans
