Linking to Washington's Blog

Readers frequently send me emails asking if they can reproduce one of my essays.

As I note on the sidebar:

If you wish to reproduce any essays from this site:

You may reproduce our essays as long as you give proper attribution (Washington's Blog) and provide a link to our site.
(And yes, you can translate it into other languages, as long as you translate accurately!)

The proper link should always start with this:
Many people still link to the old address:
(And the rss feeds show that address.)

However, I have the site forward to, and I prefer that address, as it is much easier to remember and to say.

I will eventually consolidate the site at, but have to figure out how to do it. For now, the site has an Alexa ranking of about 85,000 and has a ranking of about 96,000. It doesn't make much sense to split the web traffic.

→ Thank you for contributing to the conversation by commenting. We try to read all of the comments (but don't always have the time).

→ If you write a long comment, please use paragraph breaks. Otherwise, no one will read it. Many people still won't read it, so shorter is usually better (but it's your choice).

→ The following types of comments will be deleted if we happen to see them:

-- Comments that criticize any class of people as a whole, especially when based on an attribute they don't have control over

-- Comments that explicitly call for violence

→ Because we do not read all of the comments, I am not responsible for any unlawful or distasteful comments.
