Federal Reserve to Hire Ex-Enron Lobbyist in PR Move to Counter Doubts about Fed's Growing Power Over U.S. Financial System

How is the Fed responding to:

(1) a bill in Congress with 190 co-sponsors to audit the Fed

(2) a new law giving the GAO some power to examine the Fed's actions

and

(3) calls by many to abolish the Fed altogether?

A promise of 100% openness and full disclosure to Congress and the American people?

An agreement to stop all behind-the-scenes shenanigans?

An end to the whole scam of private bankers "creating" credit and bilking the taxpayers out of trillions in interest?

Of course not!

Instead, the Fed is . . . launching a new p.r. campaign to show everyone how wonderful Ben and the boys really are.

As Bloomberg notes:

The Federal Reserve intends to hire a veteran lobbyist as it seeks to counter skepticism in Congress about the central bank’s growing power over the U.S. financial system, people familiar with the matter said.

Linda Robertson ... headed the Washington lobbying office of Enron Corp... Robertson [also] served under Treasury Secretaries Lawrence Summers, Robert Rubin and Lloyd Bentsen...

“People have been asking whether the Fed is capable of getting its job done right,” said Lynn Turner, a former chief accountant at the Securities and Exchange Commission. “Hiring a former lobbyist from Enron will surely make one wonder.”

  1. If it wasn't so disgusting it would be hilarious.

Don't mean to be "anonymous" but I had trouble signing in with my blogger account.

  2. The regional banks are pressing for MORE transparency, at least from where *I* am standing here in the midst of the "Heart of Darkness" - meanwhile, the Board of Governors in DC is subscribing to the same disgusting mantra which the Fed puts above all else.

As I said on an alternate post, watch for a VERY interesting shift in coming months. It will be fascinating to say the least.

  4. Time for Revolution.
The Federal Reserve is not just a private corporation, they have stolen $4Trillion from
America and its next 10 generations to pay off
    that money stolen.
That same Federal Reserve corporate leaderership consists entirely of dual US/Israeli citizen Zionists. They admit they
    control this country.
The only way we'll be free is if they realize the severity of the crimes they've committed against us and hang themselves out of shame. If they don't, no lobbyist - not even God Almight, will save them from our wrath.

  5. The Fed have been riding the gravy train for quite some time; it is to be expected that they try to keep things the same. This isn't to say that it isn't disgusting, however.

Bernanke probably hand-feeds her her daily slop with a shovel. She has a greedy appetite.

Spare a whale, Robertson's fat should feed the world's starving.

  10. A searing indictment by a former President of Italy, Gladio Francesco
Cossiga, that the 911 attack was engineered by the CIA and Mossad,
revealed last week in Italy's most respected newspaper Corriere della
Sera is definitely a story we will not see in American mainstream
media. The unsubstantiated accusation by the retired head of Italy's
government is not to be taken lightly, and adds to a growing body of
evidence supporting the view held by many that 911 was a false flag
operation costing three thousand innocent lives in New York City,
initiating the invasion of Afghanistan and the debacle in Iraq, and
setting the West on its current course into the unending "War on
    Terror".

"Cossiga was elected President of Italian Senate in July 1983 before winning a landslide 1985 election to become President of the
    country in 1985.

Cossiga gained respect from opposition parties as one of a rare
breed - an honest politician - and led the country for seven years
    until April 1992.

Cossiga's tendency to be outspoken upset the Italian political
establishment and he was forced to resign after revealing the existence
of, and his part in setting up, Operation Gladio - a rogue intelligence
network under NATO auspices that carried out bombings across Europe in
    the 60's, 70's and 80's.

Gladio's specialty was to carry out what they coined "false flag operations," terror attacks that were blamed on their domestic and geopolitical opposition.

Cossiga's revelations contributed to an Italian parliamentary investigation of Gladio in 2000, during which evidence was unearthed that the attacks were being overseen by the U.S. intelligence apparatus .

In March 2001, Gladio agent Vincenzo Vinciguerra stated, in sworn testimony, "You had to attack civilians, the people, women, children, innocent people, unknown people far removed from any political game. The reason was quite simple: to force ... the public to turn to the state to ask for greater security."

Cossiga's new revelations appeared last week in Italy's oldest and most widely read newspaper, Corriere della Sera. Below appears a rough translation.

"[Bin Laden supposedly confessed] to the Qaeda September [attack] to the two towers in New York [claiming to be] the author of the attack of the 11th, while all the [intelligence services] of America and Europe ... now know well that the disastrous attack has been planned and realized from the CIA American and the Mossad with the aid of the Zionist world in order to put under accusation the Arabic Countries and in order to induce the western powers to take part ... in Iraq [and] Afghanistan."

Cossiga first expressed his doubts about 9/11 in 2001, and is quoted in Webster Tarpley's book as stating that "The mastermind of the attack must have been a sophisticated mind, provided with ample means not only to recruit fanatic kamikazes, but also highly specialized personnel. I add one thing: it could not be accomplished without infiltrations in the radar and flight security personnel."

Coming from a widely respected former head of state, Cossiga's assertion that the 9/11 attacks were an inside job and that this is common knowledge amongst global intelligence agencies is highly unlikely to be mentioned by any establishment media outlets, because like the hundreds of other sober ex-government, military, air force professionals, allied to hundreds more professors and intellectuals - he can't be sidelined as a crackpot conspiracy theorist."[/q]

  11. We have the best government money can buy!

P.r. gives cover to elected officials, enabling them to justify their inaction against the Federal Reserve.

However, it is not what elected officials say but what they do that counts.

They were elected to secure our rights and to protect us from enemies both foreign and domestic.

Is that what they are doing? Or have they become our enemy?

Silence is acquiescence. And that includes us as well. Are you silent?

  12. "Growing power". Is that some kind of perverse joke? When you have and always have had 100% uncontestable power how can it grow? The zionist bankers have had that control over North America since 1694 after which their British Board of Trade sent it's British navy then army to these shores. They simply consolidated their power (ownership) in 1913 to include all goverment, industry, military, media, education, drugs both legal and illegal, the legal system, land and, really everything including the sheople.

  14. You Are A Corporation

The United States is a corporation. All transactions such as a birth certificate and drivers license are contracts with the corporation. A person is considered a corporation. When you interact with the courts and other government agencies, you are in a trustee and beneficary relationship. You, the corporation, is the beneficiary, and the government is the Trustee. Beneficiaries are ruled by statues, laws being corporate statues. The US is under Admiralty Law with Maritime Jurisdiction. Think about that.

  17. Americans should go on a 'tax strike'. All of us, all at once, stop paying taxes until the government turns this ship around, and begins changing things that we want changed. This is ridiculous. All of us are outraged, but we feel like our hands are tied. They are not. Let's take our country back!
