Officials and Experts Warn of Crash-Induced Unrest

Numerous high-level officials and experts warn that the economic crisis could lead to unrest world-wide - even in developed countries:

  • Today, Moody's warned that future tax rises and spending cuts could trigger social unrest in a range of countries from the developing to the developed world, that in the coming years, evidence of social unrest and public tension may become just as important signs of whether a country will be able to adapt as traditional economic metrics, that a fiscal crisis remains a possibility for a leading economy, and that 2010 would be a “tumultuous year for sovereign debt issuers”.
  • The U.S. Army War College warned in 2008 November warned in a monograph [click on Policypointers’ pdf link to see the report] titled “Known Unknowns: Unconventional ‘Strategic Shocks’ in Defense Strategy Development” of crash-induced unrest:
The military must be prepared, the document warned, for a “violent, strategic dislocation inside the United States,” which could be provoked by “unforeseen economic collapse,” “purposeful domestic resistance,” “pervasive public health emergencies” or “loss of functioning political and legal order.” The “widespread civil violence,” the document said, “would force the defense establishment to reorient priorities in extremis to defend basic domestic order and human security.” “An American government and defense establishment lulled into complacency by a long-secure domestic order would be forced to rapidly divest some or most external security commitments in order to address rapidly expanding human insecurity at home,” it went on. “Under the most extreme circumstances, this might include use of military force against hostile groups inside the United States. Further, DoD [the Department of Defense] would be, by necessity, an essential enabling hub for the continuity of political authority in a multi-state or nationwide civil conflict or disturbance,” the document read.
  • Director of National Intelligence Dennis C. Blair said:
"The global economic crisis ... already looms as the most serious one in decades, if not in centuries ... Economic crises increase the risk of regime-threatening instability if they are prolonged for a one- or two-year period," said Blair. "And instability can loosen the fragile hold that many developing countries have on law and order, which can spill out in dangerous ways into the international community."***

"Statistical modeling shows that economic crises increase the risk of regime-threatening instability if they persist over a one-to-two-year period."***

“The crisis has been ongoing for over a year, and economists are divided over whether and when we could hit bottom. Some even fear that the recession could further deepen and reach the level of the Great Depression. Of course, all of us recall the dramatic political consequences wrought by the economic turmoil of the 1920s and 1930s in Europe, the instability, and high levels of violent extremism.”

Blair made it clear that - while unrest was currently only happening in Europe - he was worried this could happen within the United States.

  • Former national security director Zbigniew Brzezinski warned "there’s going to be growing conflict between the classes and if people are unemployed and really hurting, hell, there could be even riots."
  • The chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff warned the the financial crisis is the highest national security concern for the U.S., and warned that the fallout from the crisis could lead to of "greater instability".

The Chicago Climate Exchange is HERE!

THIS is why you voted for Barack Obama, not for -real change- you can believe in, or anything like peace you could -take to the bank-.

Forget about violence. Forget about it!

Forget about what you would like to do to Jim Lehrer's well-painted cauliflower nose.

Call your -broker- and -your banker- and have them fork over all your cash to the CCE.

And- if the hoods from Chicago at the CCE have anything to say about it, that's all you'll have to do! -to keep from having your head bludgeoned in with lead pipe -by some Chicago mobster who will no-doubt get the job as the climate-enforcer.

ALL YOU NEED IS LOVE! LOVE!

So bend over, sucker. And -send you wife and and your daughters out here too.

  5. This GUY, Obama, just gave a speech justifying killing children, women and anyone else who happens to get in the way of his -moral wars-.

Sorry folks- This is -preemptive supreme-.

Behind this curtain, when a nation's moral wars are unveiled, it turns out -just like the philosopher said-.

There's just you, me, everybody else -and- that gaggle of bomb-dropping SOBs hiding behind the curtain -for conscious entities on this planet.

    Now, as for moral responsibility...

We clearly know where to lay the blame, -if WE don't go over there and stop these GUYs -no matter what it takes.

Anyone who talks so asininely about a nation's -moral wars-, -ought to be able to walk the streets of his nation -unafraid of the growing moral outrage.

  7. Rather being a hypocrite, I think suggesting violence could very well be appropiate. Still doing the CYA thing and panning it is the sign of a duly trained ... peon.

Anyway, It doesn't faze me. One way or another we need regime change. Whatever it takes, just so long as it happens.

If the US Gov can lie and support subterfuge, then why not it's citizens as they attempt to rid themselves of it's CORRUPT presence.

  11. Its been a long time coming. True Patriots have been prepared for years. The Rothschilds have made their last power grab through the financial collapse, Swine flu pandemic and the global warming fraud. These gambles have all failed miserably and they will have hell to pay. They underestimated the intelligence of the people of the world. Emperor Von Rompuy will move forward with this New World Order, in effect, he is going all in, on a busted flush. The Amerikan soldiers will ultimately honor their oaths to the Constitution and join with the people to rout the elite and their families. It will not be pretty, and people will seek blood revenge for the NWO tactics like using nukes, spraying us with disease, poisoning the water supply and destroying the food supply. Revisit the Rape of Nanking and the French Revolution. History repeats itself.

Our leaders are not diabolical. many were fooled by the illusions spun by Wall Street and their accomplices in Washington. But they are not fundamentally evil. I do not believe, when push comes to shove, that they will sell us down the river with no hope of providing for our families.

Or better yet, look in a mirror. The greatest perpetrators of all history are right there in front of your face. Don't look to Jesus or God or Allah for help, either, because they're either up there shaking their heads in laughter, or in horror. Hard to tell, beings gods and all. 21. At what point does the military realize that the Constitution that they swore to protect has been and is being violated every day by our government officials? Do they fight against the populace or against the traitors? Do they kill American citizens because they were given an order? I have hope that their are enough high ranking officers in charge to stand up against tyranny! I guess though plenty of German people had that hope just 70 yrs ago, human nature probably has not changed!

  22. Blaming Obama for not instituting change is too ironic coming from his republican critics. You have the Republican Party of No which put us in this position. When the democrats try to do the people's business regarding health care, which MOST AMERICANS WANT, the obstructionist party puts up a stone wall. Then Wall Street pays out big bonuses, ditto insurance companies and pharmaceuticals to their exec's.
People started losing their jobs en masse in 2007. The Republicans have stood in the way of any change which could help people. Even unemployment benefits, which were extended on NOvember 6 after a huge fight, still haven't been paid out in some states.
Those in our government who say, "Let them eat cake" should reap their just rewards. Unrest? Riots? It wouldn't surprise me.

Unlike other countries like pre WWII Germany America has had a long taste of real freedom and it cannot be manipulated out of us.

Sure they can taint the voter base with immigrants who do not have a history of freedom bred into them. They can pull the wool over others eyes with statements like diversity and save the planet but these progressives have pushed the freedoms we cherish as far as they can go.

After this every move they make will just make the resistance to them grow.

  42. "What percentage of LEO/Military will resist unconstitutional orders to disarm and intern"...any American. (fixed that for ya!)...the answer is none. Zero. The Cops are all worried about their precious jobs and pensions now with the budget cuts. After the collapse they will obey any order, even if it means sending people to their deaths, to feed their families and feather their nests. I think many LEO's will relish the thought of beating and dominating anybody they please with no pesky "rules" to interrupt their pleasure. And the Military? Please. Did many Union or Rebel soldiers hesitate to kill their fellow Americans in the (UN)Civil War? The Army today will slaughter us by the thousands and high-five each other afterwards. And then get a Medal. Don't fall for that 'oath keeper' BS. That's to make themselves feel all noble now. It'll be a whole different story when TSHTF.

  43. I'm trying to figure out which side the police and the military go with. So far, all indications from anecdotal evidence suggest they will go with the government and are quite willing to go after citizens.

In the nearby town, US Army's Special Force has been there to combat gang problems. Active-duty officers and soldiers against residents (legal, illegal) and citizens. The leader of the force is a black-op expert in central/south America.

  44. Everyone: Please...stop...think. We sit here, writing about this stuff and not thinking, first. Not everyone has drunk the Kool Aid and not everyone will cave in at the first sign of the unleasing of the government's attack dogs. Remember, this is the same government who tried for over ten years to defeat "a bunch of backward rice farmers", I believe one epithet put it, in a far away little country in Asia called Viet Nam. They dropped thousands of tons of bombs, defoliated a good portion of the land and killed untold thousands of people; and, still they were defeated. Why?...for the same reason the Russian army lost to the Germans in WW I. The Russians lost the support of their people to continue the war.

All that is necessary is to read Sun Tsu and the works of Mao Tse Tung (no, I'm not a communist), but I do believe there are lessons we can learn from Mao (such as being the fish who swim in the ocean of our own people) which we can use to defeat any tyranny our "government" can bring against us.

Instead of ranting and railing on blogs and web-sites, many of which are under constant government surveillance, we should be quietly organizing with like-minded friends and neigbors. We should be forging relationships, contacts and plans. We should be setting up our own intelligence networks. We should be infiltrating the very organizations and agencies "they" plan to use to subdue/destroy us. This is what the Vietnamese did to us. This is what we did to the Nazis. It worked for them and it can work for us as well.

No, you will not see me out on main street, confronting the SWAT teams and the "special troops" that will come to enslave us. Instead, like the prepared survivors in the "Out of the Ashes" novels, you will know that it has begun, because I will have disappeared. I will not be there waiting for them to take me. I will be in the mountains with my true friends and neighbors, plotting, planning, fighting to take back our country.

No, I'm not some wanna be Rambo. I'm probably older than most of you writing comments, here. I'm scared where my counry's headed, and, of course, I'm afraid of the idea of the violence and bloodshed that may be coming. But, I'm more afraid of what might be in store for us if we simply role over and accept serfdom.

If present trends continue, the American people may be forced into a corner where they either must fight or lose their freedom. So, maybe we should ask where that point would be. Janis Joplin said it long ago, in her song, 'Me and Bobby McGee', "Freedom's just another word for nohin' left to lose". We're not there, yet, but I fear we're drawing closer than ever, before.

Yes, I'm scared of the idea of another possible civil war; but, God as my witness, I believe, like the unnamed hero of this quotation, "It's better to die on your feet than to live on your knees." Therefore, I shall close with one final quote; from John Wayne in the movie Rio Bravo. When talking to the hired killers sent by the arch villian to kill him, he told them to tell their boss that, "whoever else he sends, he'd better pay 'em more, 'cause they're gon'na earn it!"

That is what I recommend you all do. You don't have to face the monster head on. We can kill it as Sun Tsu would with the death of a thousand cuts. Not demonstrating and rioting in the streets, but quietly preparing to fight it in our own way, attacking where it is weak and when it lashes back, we disappear to return at another time and another place, again and again, until it is defeated and destroyed.

    Think about it.

  45. "A nation can survive its fools, and even the ambitious. But it cannot survive treason from within. An enemy at the gates is less formidable, for he is known and carries his banner openly. But the traitor moves among those within the gates freely, his sly whispers rustling through all the alleys, heard in the very halls of government itself. For the traitor appears not a traitor; he speaks in accents familiar to his victims, and he wears their face and their arguments, he appeals to the baseness that lies deep in the hearts of all men. He rots the soul of a nation, he works secretly and unknown in the night to undermine the pillars of the city, he infects the body politic so that it can no longer resist. A murderer is less to fear." - Marcus Tullius Cicero (43 B.C.)

If things get bad enough(and they may) there is an entirely lawful way of handling it. It's called "Secession". Under the Constitution (Article 1-Section 8, 9th & 10th Amendments) no state is compelled to remain under the thumb of a tyrannical union. States whose citizens cherish freedom and liberty have the right to break away and form a new confederacy which can uphold the values America was born under in it's first revolution. Those values and the law they inspired (the Constitution) are on our side.

Bush as president in 2000, all you folks screaming about the Constitution should have been out in the streets then. In 2004, he won again because of rigged voting machines. I know Republicans refuse to acknowledge any of this because you wanted your guy in office. But all that's happened in eight years is two undeclared wars making some people rich while your kids are doing the actual fighting. Our debt is enormous, we have no manufacturing base anymore, and middle-class folks can barely survive. We gave billions to the banksters when we should have been putting them in jail. I've only seen sporadic protests about all of this--and most of the protests are barely mentioned in the media. Since everybody I know is armed, I can't imagine how the police or the government will manage to take away all our guns.
