"Democracy Is Dead... Politicians [In] The White House, Senate And Congress [Are] Mere Puppets, Pawns For The ... Oligopoly"

Guess who made the following statement:

We refuse to believe in this new Orwellian America. We prefer the world of
magic, myth and illusion.

Democracy is dead. Oh, the illusion will be kept alive in our history books,
in the rhetoric of politicians, in the manipulated minds of America's 95 million
Main Street investors. The propaganda machine works. Like a child's fairy tale,
democracy has been deeply imbedded in our brains for decades; we prefer
believing old, familiar stories. They comfort us, even when no longer true. The
real democracy, what so many fought and died for since 1776, is dead.

Lobbyists now run America, own America, rule America. Forget the 537
politicians you thought we elected to the White House, Senate and Congress to
run America for us. No, they're mere puppets, pawns for the "Happy Conspiracy,"
an oligopoly, plutocracy, cabal, monopoly all-in-one -- a private club of
America's richest few on Wall Street, in Washington and in Corporate America.

Voters and elections are irrelevant. Lobbyists decide what's in the best
interests of this elite club...

Most voters are destined to live in denial, trapped in mind-numbing illusions replaying over and over as they sit passively, dazed ... they aimlessly drift, unaware of how lobbyists rule America, how lobbyists help the "Happy Conspiracy" rob them blind. ..

Stop kidding yourself. Wake up, you're in denial, in fantasy world, dreaming of a new "American Democracy." Wrong, you no longer live in a democracy. Lobbyists run Washington.

Do you think an anarchist or a hippie or a Venezuelan citizen or a radical alternative blog wrote it?

Nope.

It was an American investment advisor, who writes a regular column on one of the most popular financial news sites (owned by Dow Jones), MarketWatch columnist Paul Farrell.

The Founding Fathers would not recognize modern America.

  1. I just did a blog post that I think is just, fair, right, and proper... calling for the immediate impeachment of Barack Hussein Obama for treason. If not immediately impeached (that occurs at DC level), I've called for the immediate abolishing of this govt and the formation of a new nation by the States. I thought about it. He has ordered the Pentagon to gain power to overthrow our government to install a communist dictatorship totalitarian state. That's what he did when he ordered the Pentagon to request authority to place 400,000 troops on US soil to be used AGAINST American citizens in a military occupation of the United States of America. The Founding Fathers would not tolerate these actions. Nor, as you say, would they recognize modern America. My the cry for impeachment at DC level - or revolution by peaceful secession at State level result in our democratic republic and Constitution restored. (Good article of yours btw... but I just wrote mine and read yours - and the conclusions are the same. We are in peril. These things don't "get better". They move towards total control in totalitarianism and the SOB made his move.)

  2. I'm sometimes astounded at runaway human gullibility stampeding off every knowledge cliff.

Look. -Whenever someone starts harping about "genius" as in "the genius of the founding fathers" -understand- they are trying to lasso you -and me- with some myth meant to thoroughly restrain our reflective thought processes, -our better judgment.

There is no collective mind over which the "founding fathers" exert any prescient paternal guidance.

There is you -and me, -and that other guy, if he'd just stop staring at the girls, and come over here and listen.

Hey! Bozo! Come over here a minute!

The zeitgeist is a myth. The zeitgeist is one of the biggest lies of ALL the big lies.

Start thinking for yourself, -and you'll very quickly come to realize, the morons of the world don't get us into trouble.

It's all those stinking "geniuses" of the world -who are 100% responsible for what ails us.

-And that includes ALL the fast-talkers of theory too, like Aristotle and Descartes, Voltaire and Rousseau, Kant and Wittgenstein, even Planck and Einstein, and schmucks like Ford, Edison and Steve Jobs too.

You couldn't give me an I-Phone. It is just another heavy, and tightly-bolted chain around your neck.

Democracy is a fraud because it is meant to imply we can vote our way out of some mess the geniuses of the world -got us into.

Democracy in fact -"the vote"- -as in "get out the vote"- is only another vile pretense for some stinking genius of a shining star -with good hair and -a way with the ladies- to get us into more trouble and lead us all further down the well-worn path toward this foul and stinking hell of our own making, which was made by so many gullible fools thinking they're so goddamned smart in the first place.

    Give it a rest.

If no one one the planet had any kids for just fifty or sixty years, there would be no more human gullibility, -not that it's getting imminently rare or anything of the sort right now.

  3. Brilliant, GW. I agree. As a teacher of history, as well as economics and government, I observe that all nations have gone through fascism. That list includes the US now. The governmental definition of fascism has some debate, but the central components of rule by an oligarchy, corporatism, and media propaganda are uncontested.

The Founding Fathers would be appalled. Because the contrast of what we endure is so far from the nation they envisioned and empowered through the US Constitution, I spent some time finding and documenting their most powerful statements admonishing us to protect and defend limited government constrained within the law. Your readers are welcome to it (click on my name).

Interesting also is the chagrin of Germany when the weight of REAL HISTORY, that is, what actually happened opposed to what Nazi propaganda told them, hit them. Germany, with historical contributions as old-age pensions, public education, artistic development, scientific achievement, and more rightfully believed they had among the best nations on earth.

I think, GW, your readers can imagine their regret, embarrassment, and longing for opportunity to have acted when they had opportunity. I encourage your readers to spread your articles with new-found passion for a brighter future for the US. Thank you, GW, for doing so much in leading the way :)

  4. Well said and totally true. So Americans will eat more, get fatter and watch more TV to feel good about it all. Where does it end? Might be a topic for another blog.

  5. If you read Web of Debt by Ellen Brownyou come away with the idea that since the beginning of time a very small group of the richest have determined the way things go throughout the world. We have stood by and watche other countries destroyed by the IMF and World Bank and have believed the bullshit they gave as reasons to destroy that country. A bullshit theory of life I used most of my life has become useless because it's down our turn in the destruction barrel. I aways thought that to be happy all you had to do was figure out what the rich guys would allow you to have and be happy with that and life would be good. Now we see that all they want us to have is a hoe and a sack of beans.

So here we are a very few who know what is going on. Until many, many more wakeup not much can be done. When they do wake up (and some forecasters) say this will be soon it is going to get ugly out there.

  6. Good take, Don, and you are exactly right about it being the fault of the smart people. And you didn't include enough of them, like Jesus, Gandhi, Moses, MLK, George Carlin, Mark Twain, Mandelbrot, Shakespeare, Mozart, or Carl Sagan.

It really is all their fault. In all their genius and gifts, they all missed the one thing that stares everyone in the face constantly.

The rest of humanity is WAY too stupid to use the gifts responsibly.

So, if you think you may be a creative, helpful, insightful person, keep your mouth shut. Do not share your ideas. Do not help, do not investigate, do not try to improve anything. I'm serious. All these gifted people in human history, they enabled the rest of the unwashed ignorant masses of humanity to poison each other and poison the planet.

And even when someone like Oppenheimer realizes what destruction his genius has wrought, all he can do is say, "I am become death, the destroyer of worlds." And we can now destroy the world many times over.

Do not help. Keep your mouth shut. Humanity has demonstrated for millennia that it is an utter failure. And every gifted, passionate soul that tried to help ultimately made things worse.

  8. Wow, if this is not the truth. The brain washing and conditioning of propaganda have worked well. Yes, many US Citizens are in denial about what is happening and what has been happening for many years. For 911 to happen, live on TV in this day and age of real time info - with all of facts pointing to what really happened that day, with so many accepting what they are told. I guess if something is taken for granted you’ll lose it - Democracy is dead as seemingly not many care as if they are asleep. For me it is like a cartoon that I cannot turn off and I fear what is next.
