According to a Norwegian-language version of Associated Press, the terrorist who bombed downtown Oslo and shot numerous children at summer camp was an Anti-Islam nationalist:

In online debates marks Anders Behring Breivik as well read, and one with strong opinions about Norwegian politics. He promotes a very conservative opinions, which he also called nationalist. He expresses himself strongly opposed to multiculturalism - that cultural differences can live together in a community.

Breivik has had many posts on the site Document.no, an Islam-critical site that publishes news and commentary.

In one of the posts he states that politics today no longer revolves around socialism against capitalism, but that the fight is between nationalism and internationalism. He expressed clear support for the nationalist mindset.

Anders Breivik Behring has also commented on the Swedish news articles, where he makes it clear that he believes the media have failed by not being "NOK" Islam-critical.
MSNBC reports:
TV2, the country's largest broadcaster, identified him as Anders Behring Breivik, 32, describing him as a member of "right-wing extremist groups in eastern Norway." Shortly thereafter, The Telegraph newspaper of London reported the same information, citing Norwegian Justice Minister Knut Storberget.

Tore Bjorgo, a professor at Norwegian Police University College — which state broadcaster NRK reported is working with police on the investigation — said the fact that the second attack was directed at a political youth organization suggested the involvement of local or European right-wing extremists.

The suspect is allegedly described as a Conservative Christian on his Facebook page.

  1. Here is a link to a list of articles written by the terrorist under his online name "Fjordman":

Note, if you read these articles, you will find that he is linked DIRECTLY (as in physically) to Robert Spencer, founder of Jihad Watch. He attended a conference in Belgium with Spencer. He is also connected to Little Green Footballs.

I suspect he may be connected to the previous terror attack in Stockholm.

  2. He's also a Mason

Look at the picture the Mail posted of him in his apron

  3. Stephen: how do you know that that (clearly fascist) blog is linked to the Utoeya assassin? The latest entry seems written after the attacks and is a cautious one (specially for an Islamobphobic blog).

I ask because I'd like to join the dots but not fall into false leads, so evidence please.

Same for Jack: how do you know that such uniform is "Mason" and not, say the one of "the fraternity of salted cod", for example. Excuse my ignorance if it is so obvious, Masons are not my field of expertise.

  4. Beware the anger of a patient man.

Those who attribute false motives to him may attract attention from others.

The IRA, as an Irishman, I mean the Irish Republican Army, always gave a code word, unlike Al CIA-duh!

Genuine terror may be beginning. What happens to America when the TV stations go? No need to kill people. Especially people without real power.

  5. Has anyone noticed that the profile of this alleged terrorist is exactly the profile the DHS seems to have been so obsessed about for the last few months. Just days before, the DHS put out a video depicting "middle aged white men" doing apparently suspicious acts. There is also the MAIC report, which combined Ron Paul campaigners with more nefarious racists organizations in an obvious political smear.

Looking at the guy's wall, it's almost as if they wanted the Tea Party & Sarah Palin to look guilty by association with this attack. That struck me instantly that this fellow fit the Janet's profile down to a tee as if selected by Central Casting for the role.

Take it for what you will, but I see these dots as being a little close, so why not take Janet's advice and "if I see something, say something."

  6. RE: StephenDeVoy

Fjordman is NOT the Oslo shooter. See here

  7. I found a terrible article that calls for genocide as on possible "solution" to the Muslims in Europe.
It is at that site called Gates of Vienna. This is terrible. I actually have seen an increase in this ultra right wing ideology, even here in U.S. and as I research this I am finding that these organizations are linked to one another (including the England Defense League which has a branch in the U.S. supported by Geller called the Tennessee League).

This article at Gates of Vienna was written in 2008.

I don't know the answer, but I do know that this one is really a twisted case and it will probably take many of us working on these details to find the trail to where this group originates.
